A recent report from Bloody Disgusting says that Renfield will be available on digital platforms starting yesterday, May 2. This means that audiences will soon be able to watch it from the comfort of their own homes. For $24.99, fans will be able to buy the movie.
The news comes soon after the movie opened in theatres on April 14, where it did not do as well as expected and got mixed reviews. Since the movie didn’t do well at the box office, it’s not surprising that a digital release is already in the works. This is in line with Universal’s new plan for theatrical windows. But since the movie will soon be available on VOD, it may still have a chance to reach new people who may not have seen it in theatres.
Renfield is the latest movie based on Universal’s Classic Monsters. It is directed by Chris McKay and written by Ryan Ridley. It is about Dracula’s helper, Renfield, who wants to start a new life after serving the Prince of Darkness for centuries. Nicholas Hoult plays the movie’s main character, and Nicholas Cage plays the famous vampire. Awkwafina, Ben Schwartz, and Adrian Martinez are also in the group.
When Is Renfield Coming To Dvd And Blu-Ray?
Renfield is expected to be released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 24, 2023. However, it is essential to note that the release dates may be subject to change. The movie is currently available on Digital HD from Amazon Video and iTunes since May 2, 2023. Amazon.com is also offering a pre-order for the Blu-ray + DVD + Digital version of the movie, which is set to be released on June 13, 2023. One website speculates that the film could be released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 11 or July 18, 2023. The Legend Of Dracula Continues To Thrive On Screen
Renfield may have told the famous story more humorously, but it won’t be long before the character returns to his scary roots on the big screen. The Last Voyage of the Demeter, also released by Universal on August 11, will show the famous legendary monster more evilly. The movie will be based on the “Captain’s Log” chapter from the original Bram Stoker novel. This could give the story, which has been told many times, a new twist.
But viewers will also have to keep an eye out for a remake of Nosferatu, which was an unofficial version of the Dracula story. The Northman’s Robert Eggers will direct this remake. Bill Skarsgard will play Count Orlok, and Lily-Rose Depp and Nicholas Hoult will also have roles in the movie. Even though there have been a lot of vampire pictures, the genre isn’t going to slow down any time soon.
