The final episode of the first season of Ranking of Kings aired. As expected, the finale left us in tears as we witnessed our baby child Bojji and his fellow mates triumph over the numerous forces of evil at work. However, it’s safe to say that most of our emotions came from seeing Bojji discover what’s actually important to him—his best buddy, Kage.
With an ending that was every bit as spectacular as the rest of season 1, it’s unsurprising that anime fans are pleading for another season of this series. However, what are the chances of us getting a second season of Ranking Kings? We inform you of what we know thus far on this page.
Is Ranking of Kings renewed for season 2?
There is currently no word regarding the second season of Ranking of Kings, however, the likelihood of another season is quite strong. Though the season 1 finale resolved the majority of loose ends, there are still numerous unanswered mysteries.
Including (but not limited to) the immortal Ouken’s fate, the route ahead of new King Daida, and, of course, how Bojji and Kage will construct a new kingdom. Additionally, many fans are curious about the full backstories of numerous characters, including Desha, Domas, and Queen Hiling.

When will the second season of Ranking of Kings air?
Fortunately for fans, the manga authored by Sosuke Toka is still ongoing, which means there will be plenty more stories to come. It’s reasonable to believe that all of our questions will be addressed in due course.
Additionally, the manga’s continuation means we’ll have to wait an extended period of time for a new season—possibly late 2023 or 2024—but we’re confident it’ll be worth the wait!

What will happen in the second season of Ranking of Kings?
Season one of Ranking of Kings concluded with the resolution of the majority of the show’s key plot threads. King Daida regained control of his body, Bojji and the great four defeated Ouken and Miranjo, and King Bosse died (for good this time) — floating away gracefully. Additionally, in case you missed it, Daida proposed to Miranjo.
If a season 2 is ordered, it’s difficult to predict where the story will go now that the stakes have been reset. However, there may be a few hints in the show’s last seconds. Two significant events occur: Boji abdicates the throne and departs on adventures with Kage (who can blame him? ), and Desha is crowned the new King.
Desha, together with his brother, pledges to rescuing their brother Ouken (who was just squashed into a ball and yelled into a lake, FYI). These two developments undoubtedly plant the seeds for other stories, and we can’t wait to learn more – not least about the mysterious organization responsible for the ‘rankings.’
Outside of speculation, there is little information available, however, author Sasuke Tka stated in a December interview with Anime News Network: “As a sensitive soul, I enjoy stories with happy endings. If possible, I’d like to make everyone happy. However, I am unable to do so for the bad folks. That is the essence.”
When will the Ranking of Kings season 2 trailer be available?
The first Ranking of Kings season one teaser was released almost five months before the first episode aired, so expect a season two trailer somewhere in April 2024 assuming our prediction of a late 2024 debut is true. In either case, we’ll keep you updated here as soon as we know more. While waiting, have a look at the previous season’s trailer.
