Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 2 Plot?
Season two of Raising Kanan will pick up after Kanan’s attempted murder of his estranged father, Detective Malcolm Howard.
Under the supervision of his mother, Raquel, who kept him in the dark about his would-be murder victim’s true identity, the young drug dealer shot the cop and left him for dead. While Kanan believes he has killed someone, we discovered that Malcolm survived the shooting and is now awake.
Raquel, on the other hand, wanted to frame Unique for the crime because he had already been arrested. Will the detective agree to the plan to protect his son, and will he reveal their familial connection? Meanwhile, Kanan is hiding out in Maryland, but his ties to the gang in South Jamaica, New York, are strong.
Raquel is no-nonsense, and after initially concealing him from her drug-dealing activities, she was seen bringing him into the family business. The upcoming episodes, according to actor Mekai Curtis, will focus on everyone’s actions having consequences, and how this “moulds and shapes Kanan and his psyche.”
According to the official synopsis: “As the second season begins, Raquel Thomas has gained control of the city’s drug trade, but her son is disappearing. Kanan Stark returns to Queens, unsure of his future with the family business, and even more so because of Detective Howard’s lingering secret.
“Kanan seeks the truth, while Raq expands the company into hostile mafia territory. Lou-Lou has other plans for his failing record label, but Raq isn’t about to let his side hustle stand in the way of her growth. “Marvin is still Raq’s loyal soldier, but he is struggling to earn Jukebox’s forgiveness and become the father he never was. The ties that bind this family are fraying, but Raq will go to any length to keep them together.”
