One Piece’s Egghead arc is one of the most exciting yet. The previous chapters have undoubtedly been an emotional rollercoaster, between learning the true nature of Bonney’s powers, Luffy’s captivating battles with Lucci and Kizaru, the entrance of Gorosei Saturn on the island, and Kuma’s tragic past.
The drama is now setting up for yet another thrilling chapter as we approach 2024. The Kuma flashback comes to an end in One Piece Chapter 1103 and the story resumes in the present.

We learned how Kuma lost his memories and saw his last act of sacrifice for Bonney in the earlier chapters. But now that the flashback has ended, the Egghead War has brought us back to the present day in this chapter.
It was clear that Bonney was in a life-or-death scenario before the start of the Kuma flashback. After his battle with Kizaru, Luffy stayed on the ground while Saturn changed into his Devil Fruit form and crushed her in his grasp, detaining the other Straw Hat Pirates as well. In other words, Kuma is the only person—well, a cyborg—who can quickly intervene to save her.
The chapter will pick up where the last one left off. Bonney turned back into a toddler and apologized to Vegapunk, who then gave her a sapphire sun necklace as a 10th birthday gift from Kuma.
Then let’s go back to the present, when Bonney and Saturn are fighting to the death. In this chapter, Bonney unleashes one of One Piece’s most potent attacks—her Nika-like Future attack—on Saturn. Her strike, however, is ineffective in this chapter, leaving her vulnerable.
As a result, Saturn recognizes that Bonney’s perception of Nika differs from his actual abilities. That is to say, she can only imitate his rubber power segment.
The rest of the Straw Hat pirates are still immobile because of Saturn’s Devil Fruit abilities even as he and Bonney battle. And helpless, they watch the drama play out.
everyone but Luffy. We watch him trying to get stronger by consuming food that someone snuck past him. However, Saturn sees him and orders Luffy to be shackled with sea stone, so all of his efforts are in futile.
