Your Business Software clients helped Cuban build MicroSolutions. Software reseller and system integrator MicroSolutions began. Cuban’s biggest client was Perot Systems. He increased revenue to $30 million. Compuserve bought MicroSolutions for $6 million in 1990. The arrangement netted him $2 million after taxes.

AA Unlimited Pass

Mark, his co-founders, and pals celebrated at a steakhouse when the sale closed. Mark was asked what he would do with his fortune over drinks. Steakhouse tables had phones. Mark called American Airlines for a $ 250,000 lifetime pass. He bought a $150,000 companion pass.

Mark could fly anywhere in the globe for free without a reservation even though American Airlines stopped selling these passes in 1994. America discontinued the passes after one owner flew over 40 million miles. America lets its remaining 20-30 lifetime pass holders give them once. After his father died, Mark gave his pass to a buddy.

Mavericks

Mark bought the Dallas Mavericks from Ross Perot for $285 million in 2000. The squad is worth $2 billion, conservatively. Mark owns everything. 2011 NBA Champion Mavericks.

Cuban bought Landmark Theatres, 58 art-house cinemas, on September 24, 2003.
