Lee Jihan, South Korean Singer and Actor, Dies in Apparent Crowd-Crush Collision at 24
Lee Ji Han was a well-known singer, performer, and actor in South Korea. He was also the youngest member of the K-pop boyband, BTS. Sadly, he passed away in an accident at age 24.
It has been found out that Lee Ji Han, an actor and former contestant on “Produce 101 Season 2,” died in the Itaewon tragedy this weekend.
“It’s true that Lee Ji Han died because of the accident in Itaewon on October 29,” Lee Ji Han’s agency, 935 Entertainment, said on October 30.
“We also hoped it wasn’t true, and we were very shocked to hear the news,” the agency representative said. Right now, the family is going through a lot of pain, so we are being very careful. May he sleep peacefully.”
The first time people heard about Lee Ji Han’s death was when some of his “Produce 101 Season 2” co-stars, like Park Hee Seok, Kim Do Hyun, and Cho Jin Hyung, posted about it on Instagram.
“Ji Han has left this world and gone to a nice place,” they wrote. We’d like you to say goodbye to him on his last journey.”
Lee Ji Han first came to public attention in 2017 when he competed on Mnet’s “Produce 101 Season 2.” In 2019, he made his acting debut in the web drama “Today Was Another Nam Hyun Day.” At the time of his death, he was 24 years old by international standards.
On the night of October 29, at least 151 people died and many more were hurt when they were crushed in a large crowd during Halloween celebrations in the Itaewon neighborhood of Seoul.
