Kantara can’t lose at the box office, whether it’s in India or somewhere else in the world. Here in the U.S., the movie is making history by breaking the record for the most money made in a single day during the fifth week and beating out new movies. Overseas, people are giving more money. Because of both of these things, the movie will soon reach 300 crore.
The film by Rishab Shetty, which came out on September 30, has been in theatres for a month and is still going strong. In fact, it is able to get a score of more than 10 on weekends. In the last week, it was said that the film is being shown in more places overseas because of the high demand. Even in India, screenings of new movies like Ram Setu and Thank God were cut to make room for this Sandalwood movie.
In 31 days, Kantara has made a huge amount of money at the box office around the world: a total of 289.21 crores gross. India is putting in 268.21 crores gross (all languages), and other countries are putting in 21 crores gross. We can see that the movie is now just a few feet away from making 300 crore.
Kantara will be the seventh Indian movie released in 2022 to make more than 300 crores worldwide. So far, only KGF Chapter 2 (1230 crores), RRR (1144 crores), Ponniyin Selvan 1 (464.70 crores), Brahmastra (427.88 crores), Vikram (426 crores), and The Kashmir Files (326.95 crores) have been able to hit the mark.
