Jermell DeAvante Charlo was born on May 19, 1990, in Richmond, Texas, in the United States. Kevin Charlo, his father, used to be a boxer. Terrie Charlo, his mother, works at home. Jermell’s identical twin brother, Jermall Charlo, is also a pro boxer. Jermell Charlo went to Alief Hastings High School in Houston, Texas.
