Aakash Chopra and Kings XI Punjab all-rounder, Jimmy Neesham, are now involved in a war of words on Twitter. This happened after the Aakash Chopra questioned the New Zealander’s position in the KXIP Playing XI.
Chopra criticised KXIP’s team selection post the 48-run defeat against MI in IPL 2020.
Aakash Chopra said KXIP should think of replacing Neesham.
He believes that Neesham is neither working as a finisher with the bat nor as a bowler who can bowl at the powerplay.

How Did Neesham React To What Aakash Chopra Said?

Neesham, the Kiwi all-rounder replied to Chopra saying: “Averaging 18.5 striking at 90 doesn’t win many matches either.”
But Chopra had no plans of backing away either.
He, in turn, replied by saying that he gets paid for voicing his opinion on the game.
He said “Correct my friend. That’s why nobody picks me anymore. I get paid for doing something else. I’m glad that you don’t have an issue with my observations but with my cricket stats. Go well for the rest of the #IPL,”
The matter did not reach the ending here.
Some users started advising Neesham to focus on his game instead of lashing out at his critics.
To this, Neesham tweeted back saying “Twitter criticising your opinion on other people’s opinions because everyone’s allowed to have an opinion.”
So far, Neesham has been not able to put on good performances in the IPL 2020.
He has taken only two wickets till now and has conceded runs at an economy rate of 10.31.
When it comes to batting, Neesham has registered just seven runs in three matches.
KXIP is at the seventh position with just two points from four matches in the IPL 2020 points table.
The team will next face CSK on October 4 at the Dubai International Stadium.
