The Marvel Cinematic Universe dominates the superhero and film business, but others have entered the fray. Sony has controlled Marvel’s most famous character, Spider-Man, since the 2002 film. They’re now working on the first two Venom films, Morbius (2022), Kraven the Hunter (2023), and El Muerto (2024) in their villain world.
Another Sony film nobody saw coming became Marvel’s first Academy Award-winning adaptation. In a historic upset, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) won the Best Animated Feature Oscar over Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018) and Incredibles 2 (2018).
Into the Spider-Verse is widely praised as Miles Morales’ (Shameik Moore) animated big-screen debut. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is perhaps the best film ever, with its creative art style, well-developed characters, emotionally engaging story, and more. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), the second film in a trilogy, will take Miles and Company back to the Spider-Verse.
The highly anticipated sequel already shows fans what they wanted, primarily other realms we didn’t see in the previous film. Miles and his inter-dimensional Spideys will fight a new enemy in six separate domains, each with its aesthetic style. Across the Spider-Verse has been delayed multiple times, so read on to learn everything we know about Miles Morales’ next adventure.
Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse: Streaming or Theaters?
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is in theatres now, just like the previous movie, and will ultimately swing into theatres in the summer. There is currently no information on whether or when the film will be available to stream, which is surprising given how regularly Sony interacts with different streaming providers.
Plan your toilet breaks appropriately because the movie is breaking a record for being the longest Hollywood-produced animated film ever with a duration of 2 hours 20 minutes (140 minutes).
What Is the Release Date of Spider-Man?
One of the numerous movies to suffer a delay due to the COVID-19 epidemic was Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which saw its initial release date of April 8, 2022, moved to October 7, 2022. That’s the release date depicted in the trailer up top. However, the movie has since experienced a substantial delay. The film was successfully released on June 2, 2023; we hope another delay won’t occur.

Watch The Trailers For Spider-Man
The first trailer returns to this wonderful animation multiverse with outdated knowledge. In the teaser, Miles listens to “Sunflower” by Post Malone and Swae Lee from Into the Spider-Verse. Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) disturbs him through another inter-dimensional portal. Gwen invites “New York’s One and Only Spider-Man” on a city swing after their recent adventure, leaving Miles bewildered and surprised.
With his Spider-suit, Miles enters several art styles. Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac) interrupts him as he falls through the multiverse. Miles fights a more angry Spider-Man before the trailer moves to a title card. The title card no longer has “Part One” despite a third film being announced. The two-and-a-half-minute trailer also gives an inaccurate release date.
Miles’ experience is recounted in the second trailer. In addition to the return of Peter B. Parker (Jake Johnson) and the introduction of Spider-Woman (Issa Rae), we see a facility housing dozens of Spider-Man variants, from deep-cut comic allusions like the Amazing Bag-Man to recent fan favourites like Peter and Miles from Spider-Man PS4. Miles faces the variants and Spider-Man 2099, the group’s potential leader.
