Based on an online manga series by Hiroki Adachi, titled Hero, that ran from 2007 to 2011, the anime features 13 episodes. Eventually, Daisuke Hagiwara adapted and illustrated the narrative into the popular manga series “Horimiya,” which is published by Monthly GFantasy and serves as the foundation for the anime.
