A Recap of the History of Home Economics

The story opens with Tom, shy and self-conscious, approaching Connor for money. On the other hand, Connor and his wife fell out, leaving him alone in the house.

When Tom was approached for money, he initially refused. However, he gradually discovered what had transpired between the two: Connor and his wife.

Spag’s: the wedding ceremony of a family friend was attended by all family members. Tom and Connor began squabbling during the ceremony. Teresa, Spag’s wife, determined that they would not be welcomed back in the future.

Meanwhile, Marina is worried about Tom, who is alone in charge of the house and children. Additionally, he is writing a book, which Sarah believes is misogynistic.

Sarah and Tom had made their way to Connor’s residence. When their parents arrived, they were heartbroken to see their children fighting.

Connor plans a surprise birthday party for his ex-wife, Emily. On the other side, she bragged about having a partner but later revealed that she did not. Tom is also boasting to his wife, Marina, about locating another person.

Tom accidentally forwarded the excerpt from his book to Connor instead of Connie. When the children of his family discover that the novel is about them, they become outraged. On the other side, Connie is adamant about seeing the book published.

Tom desires a relationship with Lindsay but is saddened to learn that she sees Connor. While in school, Sarah saw a job opening for a counselor. She was convinced Connor had bribed the administrator before submitting his application.

Tom learns that Connor has developed a new romantic interest in Jessica. Sarah has never disclosed to her brother that she was kissing Jessica.

Home Economics’ second season averaged a 0.34 rating among adults 18-49 and 2.00 million viewers in live+same day ratings (includes all DVR playback through 3:00 AM).

In live+same-day ratings, that’s a 26% decline in the demo and a 22% decline in viewership from season one (including DVR playback through 3:00 AM).
