They all live peacefully in the mountains but have to face hardships to survive as Tanjiro has to visit the city to work. His work involves selling charcoals on the city side. One fine day as he is performing his duty, he gets late and has to stay back at an old guy’s house. The mysterious old person seems weird as he keeps on mentioning some beats who feast on humans but Tanjiro ignores the old guy and heads back home.
However, as he reaches he is thunderstruck to see his family slaughtered. Then appears his sister from the shadows and he is astounded to see her alive but she turns into a demon. Tanjiro takes it upon himself to rescue the people from the demons.
