Bridgerton, a famous historical drama on Netflix, is back for a second season. Fans couldn’t help but notice that the season two finale was dedicated to a particular person named Carole Prentice.
“In memory of Carole Prentice” was written on a screen after the last scene of the season 2 finale of Bridgerton and just before the end credits rolled. The show dedicated the episode to Carole Prentice, who died before Season 2 started, as it did with Brian Nickels and Marc Pilcher. But why does she have anything to do with Bridgerton? What do we know?
Who Is Carole Prentice From ‘Bridgerton’ Season 2?
Metro says that Prentice was a life coach and producer who worked for years in the TV and movie business. She moved around often, living in South Africa, Dubai, and England.
Prentice worked as a COVID-19 coordinator on the show “Bridgerton.” Sebastian Prentice, her son, told Metro that she was a big fan of the show before she got this job and was excited to work for Netflix.
Sebastian said of his mother’s time on the show, “It was amazing to see how many close friendships she had made in such a short time there.” But she liked it.
Why Is ‘Bridgerton’ Season 2 Dedicated To Her?
Carole Prentice is among many crew members to perish before Season 2 premieres. In October 2021, Marc Pilcher, the show’s Emmy-winning hairstylist and makeup designer, died of Covid. The second season’s first episode is all about Pilcher.
Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Hetherington, had to miss the London premiere of the second season of Bridgerton because she got sick with the coronavirus. So you can imagine how vital Prentice’s job was on the show.
In January 2022, Carole Prentice’s son Seb shared the sad news on Instagram that his mother had died and paid tribute to her “warrior spirit.”
“In My Eyes” was written by Seb Prentice. Carole Prentice was a warrior in the broadest sense of the word. She was a warrior for what she believed in—fairness, self-improvement, and me.
Even though she was in her last days of life, she made it through an operation that would almost certainly kill her and lived for another 20 days before she died. This warrior spirit forced me to think about how I was acting as a man and, more importantly, as a person.

His tribute went on:
Seb also posted about his mother, Carole, on Friday, March 25, the first day of the second season of Bridgerton. You live on in my life and the lives of everyone you touched. “Since you moved on two months ago, it seems like an eternity.”
The show’s tribute to Carole Prentice can be seen in Season 2 of Bridgerton, now on Netflix.
