Woodward ‘Is A Well-Known Presidential Author’ and Trump could tell him ‘your side of the story’- Lindsey Graham Advised Trump!
Donald Trump and companion Sen. Lindsey Graham were also trying to persuade the president to allow interviews to Watergate journalist Bob Woodward. The defamation already started coming up after the publishing of Woodward’s book named, ‘Rage’.
In an interview with the Daily Beast, Graham said, ‘Yeah. The last book Woodward wrote, Trump said he didn’t know that he had wanted to be interviewed.’
‘So I said, well, the guy is a well-known presidential author. And, you know, you got a chance to tell your side of the story. The president agreed, and there you go,’ he said. He also acknowledged: ‘I like playing it down.’
Trump explained why he took part in the series of stunning interviews to Sean Hannity on Wednesday night.
‘He called. I didn’t participate in his last one, and he does hit jobs with everybody,’ Trump said.
‘He even did it on Obama. … So I figured, you know, let’s give it a little shot. I’ll speak to him. Wasn’t a big deal,’ he added.
About the book, Trump said, ‘I don’t know if the book is good or bad. I have no idea,’ Trump said. ‘Probably — almost definitely won’t read it because I don’t have time to read it. But I gave it a little bit of a shot. It sounds like it’s not going to be good.’
Trump added a tweet saying that ‘The Bob Woodward book will be a FAKE, as always.’
Jared Kushner, the US president’s son-in-law’s name is also mentioned in Woodward’s book. So, he also participated in it.
Woodward’s said that sometimes he would get unexpected voice calls from President Trump. He added that Trump was reportedly trying to depict about himself in a book.
