After breaking up with Lisa Bonet, Jason Momoa has a new girlfriend. Multiple sources tell PEOPLE that the Aquaman actor, 42, has been dating Eiza González since January, when he and Bonet, 54, said they were breaking up after almost 20 years of being together.

Eiza González Career & Family:
González’s career in the telenovela Lola, Érase Una Vez catapulted him to popularity at age 16. She left Mexico at the height of her soap opera career to try her luck in Los Angeles. From Dusk to Dawn: The Series was her first Hollywood project. She has since appeared in films like Baby Driver, Alita: Battle Angel, I Care A Lot and Godzilla vs. Kong.
González is proud of her telenovela roots, which have, according to her, molded her work ethic. “There is a stigma associated with acting in soap operas, and I’m thinking, soap operas prepared me. I was in no way prepared for this,” she told Entertainment Tonight.
Her father passed away when she was 12 years old. Depression caused her to suffer from an eating disorder for many years. “My father and I have an extraordinary bond. We were close together. “I sank into a really sad place and was unable to cope with my loss,” she admitted to Latina.
She maintains tight relationships with her brother and mother, former model Glenda Reyna. González admires Reyna tremendously for raising two children on her own while coping with loss. “My father was a soldier. I admire my mum. I am best friends with her, she told the tabloid.
González may have gained her big start in Hollywood by portraying the archetypal Latina bombshell, but she is now prepared to move on.
However, it has been an uphill battle. “It is really difficult to get the industry to view you differently.
She told Observer, “I’d want to see these huge directors give us the chance to play roles that have nothing to do with our heritage.” Her dedication to her roles previously landed her in hot water with Michael Bay, the director of Ambulance.
González disagreed with Bay’s vision for her paramedic role. “I simply did not wish to make a mockery or caricature of who they were. She told Screen Rant, “I was extremely vocal about certain things that I didn’t feel were right.”
