Ubah Hassan of Real Housewives of New York City has not only come clean about her relationship but she has also been spotted with a new secret boyfriend. Season 14 of Real Housewives of New York has a cast of women who are not afraid to let their personalities shine. Some of the women in the current revival are married, but others are still single.
One such person is Ubah Hassan, who appeared to go the entirety of the Season without dating anyone. She was even overheard talking about how lonely she was throughout several episodes. Hassan, however, came out publicly with her long-time secret boyfriend when they were spotted together.

Ubah Hassan of Real Housewives of New York City was spotted out with her long-time boyfriend, Oliver Dachsel. Dachsel, often known as “Mr. Connecticut,” is the managing director of a New York-based financial services firm.
Sai’s spouse, David Craig, discovered the reality star rookie’s single status when he questioned her about it. Ubah didn’t elaborate, simply saying that she’s “good” with her current romantic situation and then apparently giving Sai images of herself with the mysterious man. Sai stated as she flipped through Ubah’s phone’s photo album before the businesswoman began spilling the beans on her passionate love affair.

During the season finale, even though Ubah had Sai vow to secrecy, the influencer leaked the news to co-star Erin Lichy. She’s fine. Sai said to Erin during their on-camera date, “She’s extremely happy. She’s happy and at peace now. She’s obviously in a relationship. After Brynn Whitfield joked that she “heard” her co-star has “a man in Connecticut,” the show focused heavily on Ubah’s romantic life, and the Somalian actor ended up leaving the party early.

After her epic birthday celebration, Ubah told everyone that she and Mr. Connecticut had taken their relationship to the next level by meeting each other’s families and even her coworkers on set. During an interview on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on September 10, the entrepreneur gave fans a major update, saying she was “very much in love and content.”
The next month, she was on the hot seat at the Club House, when Andy revealed that he had seen Ubah’s boyfriend, whom he described as “very handsome, strong, and yes, formidable.”
The Love Connection: Ubah Hassan and His Partner’s Journey
According to his LinkedIn profile, Dachsel began his career in finance with Deutsche Bank in their Frankfurt office before relocating to London and then New York City. He began working for Jefferies in August of 2016 and is now the firm’s managing director. Hassan spoke on how she and her boyfriend met in an interview shortly after becoming public with their relationship at the American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala in October 2023.
When asked how long he and his partner had been dating, Hassan said “over a year” and that they had met “through friends.” It’s tempting to joke, “We met on Tinder or Bumble,” she said.

In Season 1, Episode 13, Hassan brought up Dachsel in response to a question from Sai De Silva’s husband, David Craig, on why Hassan was still unmarried. To De Silva’s ears, Hassan murmured, “I’m good,” as he showed her photos of his then-new boyfriend. Hassan added, “Since David is so inquisitive, I’m going to show his wife what’s going on in my iPhone.” As one reviewer put it, “It’s very delicious.”
She went on to explain that she was shielding her “very new” connection from the other women because she didn’t “want anyone else’s energy.” According to Hassan, “I just want to make decisions for myself, and Sai can keep a secret.”
But De Silva didn’t keep it to herself, and she quickly alerted co-stars Erin Lichy and Brynn Whitfield about Hassan’s new boyfriend, revealing at an off-camera dinner’s “circle of trust” moment that he was from Connecticut.

The next episode depicts the mayhem that happened at Whitfield’s birthday party when Hassan took a phone from her boyfriend and Whitfield yelled, “Hey Ubah, I heard you got a man in Connecticut.” Hassan was fuming and hissed, “If you mention Connecticut, I’m going to circumcise you.”
