The Oregon Governor’s Plan of stopping Portland protests declined by the Sheriffs.
Oregon Sheriffs Refuse To Help Governor To Stop Portland Protests
The Enforcement bodies aka the Sheriffs have refused to stand by the Oregon Governor Kate Brown. As he has made a plan seeking their help to take control over the violent protests.

Actually the governor’s plan consisted of calling all the enforcement bodies to join hands and try to take control over the violent protests. As per the plan the Governor had approached the Sheriffs of Washington and Clackamas . But they refused to do stand by the plan.
The Reason
As per the Clackamas Sheriff Craig Roberts the Governor took the decision without even approaching or taking their consent. And moreover he also added that it is not the duty of any enforcement body to solve such a violent protests. Moreover it is not even possible to solve this issue overnight.

Therefore the only way to take a control of these protests and making Portland peaceful against is by taking actions against those who are being violent. Hence a government policy to restore peace is much more important. And apart from that no any enforcement body can restore peace amidst this unrest.
Although the police department from different regions have said that they will try to look into the matter. And assign officers to take steps to bring this unrest to control.
Also another Sheriff from Washington has Pat Garrett has said that the violence in Portland is a result of the ‘lack of political support for public safety.’ Therefore the Government should look into the matter seriously. And look for policies and ways to restore peace in Portland.
Because these things require a permanent solution. And not a forced action.
