Shemar Moore is getting ready to become a dad for the first time. The Criminal Minds star will talk about his pregnancy on an upcoming episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show.
The 52-year-old actor says, “In real life, Shemar Moore is about to become a dad,” which makes host Jennifer Hudson and her live audience happy.
Moore also says that his mother, Marilyn Joan Wilson-Moore, died three years ago on February 8, which is when his baby is due. “That’s interesting!” Hudson says. “And your mom will be so happy to see you and smile from heaven.”
Moore claims that “I was worried for a while that maybe that ship had sailed, but you know, God had my back, and things fell into place.”
My life is pretty great, but I know that once God calls my name and I have this experience, I’ll be ready to go to heaven.”
In the promo clip, the actor doesn’t say much else about having his first child, but he did post a video to Instagram from the party where he and his girlfriend, Jesiree Dizon, found out the baby’s gender. “Mama’s smiling from Heaven … Miracles happen … Now comes the BEST part of my life, “He wrote the caption for the Monday video.
The couple finds out they are having a girl when a helicopter flies over and pink smoke comes out. They are going to call their child Frankie.
Moore has always wanted to be a father. He told Watch! magazine in 2017 that he was ready to settle down.
He said at the time, “I want to be a family man.” “I want to be a father, and I want to share my life with a partner in crime, a woman. I want my life to keep getting better, and I want to keep moving forward. In the rest of my life.”
The Jennifer Hudson Show will air Moore’s full interview on Thursday, January 26.
