At the BET Awards, Latifah thanked her friends and family as well as her inspirations. I wanted to celebrate us, because I know together we stand stronger than when we tear each other apart, she said in reference to female rappers who were performing that night.
At the end of her speech, she shared her affection for Eboni Nichols, her partner of nearly a decade. She then addressed her son she welcomed with Nichols, Rebel. Her closing remarks were wishing Happy Pride to everyone.
Who Is Eboni Nichols?
Actress and choreographer Eboni Nichols has worked with many major celebrities. She debuted as a dancer for TLC in 1999, then went on to appear in movies, TV shows, and commercials. In the mid-2000’s she became one of Beyonce’s favorite collaborators working under her direction in several music videos including Say My Name (2004), Naughty Nichols was born and raised in the US. She attended high school at Valley View High School in Moreno Valley.
Afterward, she went to college at Chapman University in Orange, California. Stage, dance floor, and sports arena weren’t the only stages Queen Latifah graced. She also has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre and Dance from Baldwin Wallace University.
