After being canceled multiple times, Lucifer has again managed to come back on-screen for season 5. However, fans were disheartened to know that season 5 will be the last season. It’s incredible to see that the show is getting a lot of support from all over the world. There were many petitions held online to revive Lucifer after it had been canceled after season 3. Fox decided to discontinue the series from season 3, but the large outcry from fans saved it from discontinuation. Netflix became a Messiah for the people and decided to push the show until season 5.
In view of season 5 being the last season, a petition is taking place online yet again for season 6. It seems like fans are emotionally attached to the show and can’t seem to let go. Meanwhile, Netflix has no plans to revive the show for a new season as there are some disputes occurring outside the studio.
Season 6 May Not Happen Because Of Tom Ellis Contract Dispute
Had it not been any sort of contract-related disputes, the new season would have little hope left for its renewal. With no confirmation coming from either side of the two between Ellis and Warner Bros, the show may see its deadline. However, it was last reported that Ellis has rejected the studio’s latest offer.
In the meantime, let’s cherish the release of season 5 and see what the new season has to offer.
