Nate Bargatze is an American stand-up comedian. After winning the Boston Comedy Festival and the New York Comedy Festival in 2013, Nate Bargatze experienced a breakthrough in his career.
Since then, he has put out comedic albums like “Full Time Magic” and “Yelled at by a Clown.” Additionally, Bargatze has appeared in several stand-up TV specials, such as “The Tennessee Kid” and “The Greatest Average American,” both available on Netflix.
His father is a motivational speaker and magician. Bargatze attended Nashville’s Donelson Christian Academy as a child. He continued his education at Gallatin’s Volunteer State Community College.
Nate Bargatze Wife
Nate Bargatze is married to a woman named Laura Baines. Laura and Nate co-worked at a Tennessee Applebee’s restaurant when they first started dating. He launched his career in the early years of their relationship by enrolling in a comedy college in Chicago, going door-to-door in New York City, and finally relocating to Los Angeles, where he continued honing his craft.
On October 13, 2006, they exchanged vows; interestingly, their wedding day fell on a Friday the 13th, a fact about which Nate would later make fun in The Tennessee Kid.
But outside of his stand-up routine, Nate posts heartfelt tributes to his and Laura’s union on social media. He sent a heartfelt Instagram message to his nearly two-decade wife in honour of their 17th wedding anniversary in October.
“Wow, we’ve been married 17 years today. Friday the 13th turned out to be ok. I couldn’t have done any of this without you. I love you Laura. Happy Anniversary!”

Nate Bargatze Daughter
On July 8, 2012, Nate and Laura welcomed Harper, a daughter, as their first child. The stand-up comedian revealed her X (formerly known as Twitter) birth announcement. “My beautiful new daughter Harper Blair. Awesome day,” he captioned a picture of their newborn in a hospital bassinet.

Harper has returned her father’s favour as she has gotten older. “Please welcome my daddy, Nate Bargatze!” was her catchphrase as she introduced her father to Nate on all three of his specials.
In his stand-up routines, Nate also makes frequent allusions to their daughter, making jokes about how hard her third-grade homework was and how he doesn’t know which bus she took.
Nate And Laura Attended Award
Nate and Laura went to the 64th Annual Grammy Awards in April 2022. The Greatest Average American, his album, was one of the nominees for best comedy album. (In addition, Kevin Hart, Lavell Crawford, Lewis Black, Chelsea Handler, and Louis C.K. received nominations in the same category.) “My wife looked beautiful. We had a lot of fun,” Nate wrote on Instagram.

At the Hollywood event, Nate presented as well. Later, he uploaded pictures of Laura and him to his Instagram account, both at the awards show and on the red carpet. The comedian put jokes aside to praise his date at the Grammys, even though he didn’t win.
