Knife-man Targets Lone Women As They Walked Through Parks In London
Two women have been reportedly attacked by a ‘knife-man’ as they walked alone through London parks.
The first victim was attacked on Saturday afternoon in a secluded area of The Gravel Pits, Northwood, west London. A man, who is believed to be in his 20s, took the women in a secluded area. Then he assaulted her sexually, saying that he possessed a knife.
But luckily, a passer-by heard her screaming as she was shouting for help. The passer-by came forward to help the woman. And this caused the man to run away.
Yesterday, again, a similar incident took place in Duck Pond Park, Ruislip. A woman, who is believed to be in her 50s, was attacked by a man. The man put his hands over the woman’s mouth and tried to drag her to a ditch in the park. But, as the woman screamed for help, people present in the park came to help her.
Coincidentally, in both the incident, the two women were threatened to be stabbed with a knife. But none of them saw the knife.
As reported by the two women, the man was slim, tall about 5 ft 8 inches, and also a light-skinned Asian man. He was also bald, or his head was closely shaved and was wearing a dark-colored tracksuit.
Kevin Pandya, Detective Sergeant, said,
‘These two attacks took place in broad daylight, and we believe the same suspect is responsible for both incidents. We want to reassure the community that our officers are carrying out extensive inquiries to identify this man, and we are asking for the public’s help to find him.’
