José Julián Figueroa Fernández was a singer and songwriter from Mexico. He was born in Mexico City on May 2, 1995, and died in Jardines del Pedregal on April 9, 2023.
Maribel Guardia is sad about the death of her son, who was her child of her and the late Joan Sebastian. In an Instagram post on April 9, she said that Julián Figueroa had died. The Costa Rican-Mexican actress said she was working when the terrible thing happened. She said that when emergency workers found her 27-year-old son unconscious, they tried to wake him up.
When the news came out that Figueroa had died, many famous people took to social media to tell Guardia how sorry they were.
Figueroa was born on May 2, 1995, and he started making regional Mexican music, just like his father. Figueroa was an actor, just like his mother, who asked for privacy after his death.
Figueroa was married to model and actor Ime Garza-Tuñón since 2017. They had a son together, José Julián Figueroa Garza, who was 5 years old.

Julián Figueroa Passed Away At Home
Although it was sad news, Guardia wrote on Instagram about her son’s death.
“I am sorry to have to announce the death of my beloved son Julián Figueroa, who has unfortunately preceded us in this life,” the famous 63-year-old wrote on Instagram, explaining how the paramedics weren’t able to help her son.
“They found him unconscious in his room tonight, while I was at the theater. They called 911 and when the ambulance and the police arrived, they found him lifeless, there was no sign of violence,” she wrote, alongside a photo of Figueroa wearing a traditional ranchero hat.
Guardia also shared Figueroa’s cause of death:
The medical report indicates that he died of an acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation.
The singer, who has always been friendly and close to the media, asked for their support and thanked people for their condolences.
“I ask for your understanding of the deep pain we are going through. I would like to speak with everyone who is reaching out, but I really don’t have the strength to do it yet,” she wrote. “I ask everyone to respect our privacy amid the painful moment we are going through.”
Guardia said, “His funeral will be private, with only the people who knew him best and loved him the most.”
Lastly, she thanked everyone for their love and support, but she also said again how hard it is to talk to everyone at this terrible time.
“Thank you for all the love and support you’ve been sending me. Right now, I don’t have the strength to answer them all, but I hope to be able to do so later. Guardia signed her letter with her name, her husband’s name, Marco Chacón’s name, and the names of her daughter-in-law Imelda Tuón and grandson, Jose Julián Figueroa. She also thanked everyone for their understanding.
