Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Plot
High school student Yuta Okkotsu has been haunted by the spirit of his childhood friend Rika Orimoto, who died six years ago after they agreed to get married.
When Yuta is being tormented, Rika always jumps to his aid and viciously hits his tormentors in self-defense. At Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School in November of 2016, Yuta encounters jujutsu sorcerer Satoru Gojo, who teaches him to manipulate Rika.
The sorcerer’s Panda, Maki Zenin, and Toge Inumaki meet Yuta and attempt to exorcise Rika but are thwarted by her easily. To become one of them, Yuta begins training with Maki, a mentor who teaches him swordsmanship while also providing him with guidance and inspiration.
For the sake of the group’s acceptance, Maki encourages Yuta to fight, which results in his briefly controlling Rika to exterminate a cursed spirit.
During three months, Yuta improves his abilities, including his command over Rika and his ability to connect with his fellow pupils. Suguru Geto, a powerful enemy sorcerer who was once buddies with Gojo, spots Yuta while on a mission with Toge.
Yuta disagrees with Geto’s plan to kill all non-sorcerers. To get Rika, Geto breaks into the school and kidnaps Yuta. Gojo sends Panda and Toge to the school out of fear for his safety, where they are ambushed by Geto and Maki and badly injured by Geto.
If she helps him defeat the enemy, Yuta will give her his soul in exchange for Rika’s. Geto is brutally injured, loses an arm, and flees in the aftermath.
Gojo discovers him and expresses his gratitude for saving the students’ lives on purpose. Gojo kills Geto as the two reminisce about their previous friendship.
Yuta is startled to discover that he is still alive after the combat. He says Rika did not curse Yuta, but he mistakenly cursed her with the hidden energy he acquired from Sugawara no Michizane when Rika died.
When Rika dies quietly, she asks a regretful Yuta to live a fulfilling life. Yuta, still donning the ring he received from Rika as an engagement present, continues his sorcery practice with his pals.
