IPL 2020: SRH Captain David Warner Says Four Unusual Things Happened During RCB vs SRH Match Which He Had “Never Seen Before”
IPL 2020: SRH Vs RCB
SRH Captain David Warner got unlucky as he suffered a run-out in his innings against RCB on Monday. Bairstow hit the ball quite hard and straight, but Umesh caught the ball in his hand. And he went on to hit the ball towards the stumps at the non-striker’s end while Warner was not his crease. Warner was run out for six.
On Match 3 of the season, SRH had a great chance to open their accounts with a win. But they lost against RCB led by one of the top batsman, Virat Kohli. From a position of 121-2 in 16 overs, SRH ended up in 153 all-out while chasing a target of 164. Eight SRH batsman was dismissed by RCB just 32 runs. At the start of the match, Shivam Dube and pacer Navdeep Saini took 2 wickets each.
After the match, Warner said that he saw four unusual things which he had “never seen before”. Warner mentioned that they had control over the chase and still they lost the match to RCB. He marked Chahal’s over as a turning point of the match. Warner also added that what has happened that can’t be changed but he promised to give their best in the upcoming matches in Abu Dhabi.
“I can’t remember the last time I was out like that. Four things happened in this game that I have never seen before. A lot of courage for Mitchell to go out there and try. It doesn’t look great for him, can’t put any weight on his leg. Hopefully, it isn’t too bad, it was quite painful for him, so fingers crossed,’ Warner said.
“We had the run chase in control, and we knew that we had to go after their bowlers in the end. Probably the last over of Chahal was the turning point out there. We have to go back to the drawing board; we obviously can not fix what happened today, but we have to go back and work hard before our next game in Abu Dhabi.”
