Hunter x Hunter
Hunter x Hunter by Yoshihiro Togashi began serialization in Weekly Sh nen Jump in 1998. The manga isn’t finished yet but it is currently on hiatus due to the mangaka’s health. There are two anime adaptations one by Nippon Animation in 1998 and one in 2011 by Madhouse.
The story follows Gon Freecss, a young boy who wants to become a Hunter like his father, Ging. Hunters are considered part of the higher social class and have abilities that can be used in finding valued items or people. The Hunter Exam is difficult and only 1-3 people pass per session.
At the start of the Hunter Exam, Leorio is introduced as one of Gon’s fellow examinees. His reason for taking the exam is primarily so that he can achieve his dream to become a doctor by having enough money. In one of the early phases of the exam, Killua calls Leorio an old man. He immediately reacts and tells them that he is as young as everyone else, much to Gon’s surprise.
How Old is Leorio in Hunter x Hunter?
Leorio was 19 years old at the time of his debut and 21 years old in the manga’s timeline.
It’s often hard to tell just how old Leorio is. He wears a strict business suit and carries around a briefcase. But then again, nobody in anime looks like their age anyway.
