Rapper William Junior Maxwell II, better known by his stage name Fetty Wap, was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute cοcaine on Wednesday and sentenced to six years in prison and five years of post-release supervision by a federal court in Central Islip, New York, according to a press release from the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.
It was reported that Maxwell was “part of a group that distributed more than 100 kilograms of cοcaine, herοin, fentαnyl, and crack cοcaine across Long Island and New Jersey.”

The lawyer for Maxwell said no further comment would be made.
In October 2021, the rapper and five others were indicted and jailed on drμg trafficking conspiracy charges; they were later released on a $500,000 bond.
Prosecutors said the “Wake Up” singer had broken the terms of his bail by brandishing a pistol during a December FaceTime call in which he threatened to k!ll someone, so he was remanded to custody in August 2022.
The federal prosecutor’s office verified that Maxell pled guilty to conspiracy to possess and distribute 500 grams or more of cοcaine later that month.
According to court documents, Maxwell and the other defendants delivered the drμgs between June 2019 and June 2020, as stated in a press statement issued by the US Attorney’s office on Wednesday.

In the announcement, prosecutors further described the scheme, saying that the defendants bought the drμgs on the West Coast and shipped them across the country via the US Postal Service and drivers with “hidden vehicle compartments” to distribute them in Suffolk County.
Five defendants allegedly used firearms “to protect their drμg organization and distribution chain,” Maxwell was described as a “kilogram-level redistributor for the trafficking organization.”
