A horrible trend of tweets flooded the internet on August 18, #RIPEminem. What??!! Eminem, The Rap God is dead? As 2020 comes with Bad Omen, it did not even sound unbelievable. The industry and the world is going through the pain of partings. The harrowing morbidity is all that we hear of.
This disturbing tweet started trending after one user tweeted, “I have killed Eminem.” His account though suspended, created a complete havoc.
The hashtag was first posted several times by an account @levic**sock. After numerous private postings, he came out public with the trend #RIPEminem. It spread all over America with condolences pouring.
The hashtag created chaos all over. Marshall Mathers, 47 aka Eminem is alive and well. The Grammy Award winning rap genius, whose lyrics are quintessentially resonated by all, has no health issues reported recently. Neither his team or Eminem has disclosed anything of that sort.
Eminem released Music To Be Murdered By album in January. His name sprung up during controversy with Diddy in June, and later apologized. But, no news of his deteoriating health ever came out.
As the trend circulated, fans were absolutely shell shocked. Some fans believed while others grew skeptical.
Worried, one user wrote, “BRUH I THOUGHT EMINEM ACTUALLY DIED CAUSE ITS 2020 ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN YALL PLAYING TOO MUCH AGAIN. #RIPEminem.
Another tweeted, “#ripeminem you’ll forever be in our hearts.
Another die hard fan added, “me coming after the person who got #ripeminem to trend.”
The third one actually kind of took my words. Eminem is doing fine. We wish for his good health. Our generation needs more of his meaningful rap.
