The release date for Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro Season 2 has been set. Nagatoro was a big hit during the Spring 2021 anime season, so many people assumed it would be renewed. However, when 2022 came and went with no announcement, fans became concerned. Thankfully, we recently learned via the official website that the show will be renewed for another season.

Yes! ‘Don’t Play With Me, Miss Nagatoro’ will return for a second season! Season 2 of the anime will premiere in October 2021, according to the anime’s official Twitter account.

Crunchyroll will also carry the second season. Along with the season 2 announcement, the anime released a key visual from Misaki Suzuki. Although we waited months for the renewal, we knew it would happen due to the popularity of the anime.
Nagatoro Season 2 Premiere Date
On August 6th, a special Livestream was held on the King Amusement Creative YouTube channel, during which the new trailer for Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro season 2 was revealed. It was confirmed in the trailer that the anime would return in January 2023.
Unfortunately, neither a more specific release date nor the number of episodes was revealed in the new trailer. In accordance with the series’ first season, fans can expect another 12-episode run of the anime on either Saturday, January 7th or 14th.
Nagatoro Season 2 Plot
Naoto Hachioji, an anti-social senior student, leads a routine life. Things change when he meets Nagatoro, an annoying first-year student who constantly teases him to the point of tears. While Naoto was working on his manga, the two met in the library.
Nagatoro begins teasing him by calling him Senpai instead of his name after noticing his awkward demeanor. Despite the constant teasing, the two grow closer as they spend more time together. Naoto falls in love with Nagatoro and begins to push himself outside of his comfort zone.
He socializes with others and befriends Nagatoro’s classmates Gamo, Yoshii, and Sakura. ‘Don’t Toy With Me’ was popular because of its strong female lead character. Miss Nagatoro, in contrast to most anime featuring sweet and timid girls, is strong, independent, and clever.
The second season will continue to investigate Naoto and Nagatoro’s budding romance. Nagatoro has a secret that may be revealed in the upcoming season.
