The show has two seasons until now. It follows the story of a small German fictitious town “Winden”. Dark Season 3: Announcements
Season 1 of the show came out in 2017 and then fans had to wait 2 years till 2019 to see the second season. Due to the great reviews of the show, Netflix announced a Season 3 before Season 2 came out. Filming for Season 3 began in June 2019 itself, a few days after Season 2 came out.
Sadly, Netflix announced that Season 3 will be the final season, bringing an end to the story in Winden. The third season will complete the arc of the storyline and will attempt to give its fans an amazing ending that they can remember. Netflix and the creators of Dark have revealed that Dark Season 3 will release 3 on 27 June 2020, almost exactly a year after Season 2 released. Fans of the show will know that 27 June 2020 is also the date of the apocalypse in the show. All episodes will drop on 27 June 2020 only.

Dark Season 3: Plot
Season 3 will focus on the impending apocalypse in Winden. At the end of Season 2, the apocalypse had already started. Adam started the apocalypse. This season will see the Martha from another world and Young Jonas trying to stop this from happening. They will also attempt to end the vicious cycle that Winden is stuck in. Fans will get to see more of the alternate world Martha is from and explore the different characters in that world. Both will try to stop the apocalypse in their respective worlds.
Things You’ve Missed
In a show with time travel, there is always a lot of mystery. Fans are bound to see many things they have missed once they rewatch the show. They will be hoping that Season 3 will bring all these mysterious things to light. Adam is the main antagonist on Jonas’ world but the villain will likely be different on Martha’s world. Some are speculating this might Claudia or an older Martha herself. Moreover, fans will also like to see how Noah and Elizabeth met each other and gave birth to Charlotte. Fans now only have a month to wait to see the end of this amazing trilogy of seasons.
