Cyberpunk 2077 may, in fact, come out when developer CD Projekt Red is saying it will this time around. At least, that’s the hope. As VG247 reports, this information comes to us from CD Projekt Red CFO Piotr Nielubowicz.
CD Projekt Red CFO Hints That They Won’t Delay Cyberpunk 2077 Again
During a video which recapped the company’s performance during the first half of the fiscal year 2020, he said something that fans, such as myself will be extremely relieved to hear. “When we meet again in this format, Cyberpunk 2077 will have already been released,” he said.
VG247’s report also notes that CD Projekt Red releases these videos on a quarterly basis, as well as videos at the end of each half of the year. So, the next time they meet like this will possibly be in December of this calendar year.

Cyberpunk 2077 Currently Comes Out In November
As of right now, Cyberpunk 2077 is coming out on November 19, 2020. If everything goes according to plan, that release date is final and it isn’t moving. Nielubowicz certainly seems confident that they won’t delay it again in his statement.
While that is extremely encouraging to hear, we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves yet. That release date is still around two and a half months away. If CD Projekt Red thinks that the game needs some more work in that duration, they won’t hesitate to delay it once more. The last time they announced a delay, they insisted that they will only ship the game when it’s “ready”.

CD Projekt Red Won’t Hesitate To Delay It Again
They’ve already delayed the game twice this year, so it wouldn’t be out of character, either. They originally said the game was coming out in April, after which they pushed it to September. Eventually, we ended up with the November release date we have now.
Personally, I can’t help but think that they will delay the game to 2021. I’d love to be wrong, of course. However, with CD Projekt Red being the perfectionists that they are, it’s entirely possible.
