Cyberpunk 2077: CD Projekt Red Announces Delay From September To November

Cyberpunk 2077 is the most hotly anticipated game release for the rest of the year. There was some competition between it and The Last Of Us Part II for a bit, but that game is out now. So, Cyberpunk 2077 has the rest of the year to itself.

Cyberpunk 2077 Is Going To Be Delayed Yet Again

However, we’re going to have to wait for it a little bit longer than we’d all hoped. CD Projekt Red announced on their social media that they’re pushing the Cyberpunk 2077 release date by a couple of months. The new Cyberpunk 2077 release date is now November 19, 2020.

This moves it from the original release date of September 17, 2020. “Those of you who are familiar with the way we make games know that we won’t ship something which is not ready,” they said in a statement. “Our intention is to make Cyberpunk 2077 something that will stay with you for years to come. In the end, we hope you understand why we did what we did.”

Cyberpunk 2077 Delay Is To Polish The Game Further

It’s not all doom and gloom, though. They also provided us with an update on how far along the game was in terms of its development. Based on what they’re saying, you can essentially play the game from beginning to end at this point. However, they still need some time to ensure that there aren’t any bugs that ruin the experience.

More Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Coming Soon

They also softened the blow by saying that we’d be getting a bunch of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay in a matter of days. We’re getting an official Cyberpunk 2077 event on June 25, 2020, in Night City Wire. After that’s done, we’ll also get to hear the hands-on impressions of many journalists who are currently playing the game.
