Claws, an American comedy-drama television series created by Eliot Laurence, premiered on Turner Network Television (TNT) on June 11th, 2017. Amazon Prime Video, an on-demand streaming service, also offers access to the show. Most of the episodes are filmed in New Orleans, where the show is set. On IMDb, it has an average rating of 7.4/10, while 88% of Google users rated it as excellent. As a one-camera sitcom for HBO, Claws was a huge success. Dark comedy and crime drama elements are also present in the show.
Each of the four seasons has ten half-hour episodes. Filming for the first season began on December 13th, 2016. Immediately following the conclusion of season 1, the show was renewed for a second season, which aired on June 10th, 2018. The third season of Claws was released on June 9th, 2019, a year after the second season. A fourth season was immediately announced. However, the producing company was forced to cease operations because to the ongoing pandemic. Filming on the show began in 2020, and it finally aired on December 19th, 2021, as planned.
Claws Season 4 Recap
The Nail Artisans salon is run by five unique and dedicated manicurists in Claws. There’s a salon in Florida called Desna’s in Manatee County. Her best friend, Jennifer, is one of the other employees at the salon, along with Ann, Virginia, and Polly. An ex-convict named Polly works as a security guard at the salon, but she soon becomes bored with her duties.
Desna looks after her mentally ill brother, Dean, in addition to running the Salon. While Jennifer has two children from a prior relationship, she does not have a new partner. As their financial situation deteriorates, the five of them turn to organized crime. They soon begin to launder money for a nearby pain clinic. Because of her dubious redneck partner, Roller, vicious Husser crime boss Uncle Daddy withholds a portion of Desna’s ill-gotten gains. In addition, Uncle Daddy considers him to be an adopted son.
Things get even shadier when Bryce, Jennifer’s ex-husband, and former ambulance driver, shows up. Devastated by Roller’s infidelity with Virginia, Desna goes on a murderous rampage after discovering the truth. Soon after, it becomes clear why Desna is working so hard to improve her and her brother’s situation. One after the other, the mysteries of the other individuals are revealed alongside Desna’s.
Claws Season 5 Renewed Or Canceled
It premiered its final and final season in December 2021 because of the ongoing pandemic and the show’s declining ratings. After then, the show was canceled, and there has been no word on whether or not Claws Season 5 will be renewed or released. Since the season 4 finale, it appears like the show’s creators have decided to call it quits. The show’s future is bleak at this point.

if the show renews in the future, then Desna Simms is played by Niecy Nash, Karrueche Tran plays Virginia Loc, Carrie Preston portrays Polly Marks, Judy Reyes portrays Quiet Ann Zayas, and Suleka Mathew portrays Arlene Branch. All the other actors in the cast include Kevin Rankin as Dwayne, Jack Kesy as Dwayne “Roller,” Dean Norris as Clay “Uncle Daddy” Husser, Harold Perrineau as Dean Simms, and Jason Antoon as Ken Brickman.
In order of appearance, Eliot Laurence, Will McCormack, Rashida Jones, Howard Deutch, and Janine Sherman Barrois served as executive producers for Claws. It was Le Train Train and Warner Horizon Television who worked together to create the first three seasons of the show. Warner Bros. Television produced the final season of the show. The show is distributed by Warner Bros. Television as well.
Claws Reviews Of All Seasons
The first two seasons of Claws have received overwhelmingly excellent ratings on review sites including IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, and Metacritic. IMDb users gave the film an average rating of 7.3 out of 10 stars. The show’s Rotten Tomatoes rating was at 80% after 30-40 people had given it a thumbs up. As a result, spectators were less than enthusiastic about the third and fourth seasons. This may also have been a factor in the show’s cancellation.
