Christina Applegate went to the ceremony for her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, November 14. This was the Emmy winner’s first public appearance since she told people she had multiple sclerosis in the spring of 2021.
Applegate was supposed to get her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2020, but the pandemic pushed the ceremony back. She said on Twitter in 2021 that she had been diagnosed with MS while making the third and final season of her Netflix comedy “Dead to Me.”

Before Applegate showed up, her “Married…with Children” co-stars Katey Sagal and David Faustino gave her a shout-out at the Walk of Fame ceremony. When Sagal told Applegate, “You’re not alone,” she got emotional. “Everyone is here.” Applegate‘s co-star on “Dead to Me,” Linda Cardellini, and the show’s creator, Liz Feldman, were also there to honor her.

At the Walk of Fame ceremony, Sagal helped Applegate get up on stage, and she stayed there with her while she spoke. Applegate cried when she talked about her daughter and thanked her for being there for her when she was diagnosed with MS.
Applegate said, “My daughter is the most important person in the world.” “You are a lot more than you realize. You are very pretty, nice, smart, and interesting. I’m lucky that I get to wake up and take you to school every day… “Thank you for being there for me through everything.”

In an interview with Variety before the Walk of Fame ceremony, Applegate said that filming the last season of “Dead to Me” while fighting MS was “as hard as you might think it would be.” The actor had to get to set in a wheelchair.

Applegate said, “I found out what was wrong while we were working.” “I had to call everyone and tell them, ‘Guys, I have MS. What the fuck!’ Then we all had to figure out what I would be able to do. Season 3 of “Dead to Me” starts on Netflix on November 17, and it will be the first new project from Applegate since she said she had MS.
“People will see me for the first time as a disabled person, and it’s very hard,” Applegate told Variety about the premiere of the show and her first public appearances, which will also include the premiere of “Dead to Me” on November 15.
In a Twitter post that went viral last month, Applegate gave hints about when she would be in public. The actress posted a picture of different canes she was thinking about bringing to red-carpet events.
