Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt married in a grand ceremony on 29th July, 2000. Celebrating 2 decades of their relationship we might as well walk down the memory lane. The bittersweet memories of Jen and Brad.
Jennifer Aniston, during an interview with W magazine in 2003, was asked if Brad was the love of her life. To this Jen replied, “Is he the love of my life? I think you are always sort of wondering, ‘Are you the love of my life ?’ I mean I don’t know. ” “I’m not someone who says ‘He’s the love of my life’ . He’s certainly a big love in my life.”
Even though Jen looked confused, she knew that they had ‘something very special’ between them . After all 1500 roses on the set of FRIENDS! They got to be head over heels.
The Split of Brad and Jen:
The couple eventually split in 2005. Brad Pitt met Angelina Jolie in the set of Mr and Mrs Smith, a romcom. Well! Ofcourse a romcom.
After seven months of Brad’s divorce, he worked on a project with the W magazine. He posed for 60 pages extended shoot, titled “Domestic Bliss”. I can’t say if thats a pun or irony, but yes anyhow.
Brad and photographer Steven Klein collaborated, and Brad posed with his new maiden, Jolie. Since the couple had not declared their relationship status, the shoot was a teaser for us. Ofcourse controversies rose and Jennifer was asked to comment.
During an interview with Vanity Fair, Jen said, “Is it odd timing? Yea. But its not my life. ” She added, “I can also imagine Brad having no clue why people would be appalled by it. Brad is not mean spirited;he would never try to rub something in my face.”
Her defense was a jibe thrown or just a defense- is completely open to interpretation. Though the couple never tried to reconciliate. When we saw them together on the SAG awards- weren’t we all in awe? I’m sure “something special ” had to be that they cherished of each other.
