In “Disappearing Lives,” episode 277 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Rokuro picks the scroll for the second experiment. They are taken to a dark room with candles that seem to have something to do with their lives.
Ouga says that they will die if the flames go out. Boruto and some others pass the second test, but a lot of people fail and die. Mitsuki and Sarada are looking into what happened to Boruto.
Because of the second experiment, many people died. The prisoners have to make decisions based on their own needs to stay alive, just like Batta did. There are still three more experiments to do, which could mean that more people will die in the next episodes.
Now that Mitsuki and Sarada are looking into where Boruto is, they might soon find him and the other people who are being held captive and free them all.
