Blake Griffin is a $110 million net worth American professional basketball player. Griffin began his professional career with the Los Angeles Clippers before joining the Detroit Pistons in 2018.

He has been named to the NBA All-Star team six times during his career. He is also a former NBA Slam Dunk Contest winner and former NBA Rookie of the Year. He has been dubbed “one of the greatest rookies in NBA history.”

Blake earned $160 million in NBA salary alone during his first decade in the league.  In 2018, he earned more than $30 million per season for the first time, earning $32.1 million from the Pistons.

Blake is also one of the world’s highest-paid athlete endorsers, having signed lucrative sponsorship deals with companies such as Kia, Subway, AT&T, Vizio, and Nike.

In an average year, he earns $6-10 million from endorsements. Blake can easily earn $35-40 million in a single year when his NBA salary is factored in.

Blake Griffin Early Life

Blake Griffin was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on March 16, 1989. Tommy, his father, was a basketball player at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. From first grade, until Blake was ready for high school, his mother Gail homeschooled him and his brother.

Blake began playing basketball at a young age and was taught by his father. Having said that, he also enjoyed playing baseball and football as a kid. Griffin joined the school basketball team with his brother Taylor when he started high school (who also became a professional basketball player).

His father was the team’s coach. Griffin quickly demonstrated his high school potential, leading the team on long undefeated runs and eventually earning numerous honors.

Blake Griffin Career

Griffin was selected first overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in 2009. Despite a knee injury that sidelined him during the first season, he rebounded with an incredible second season and made the All-Star game.

He won the Slam Dunk Contest in 2011. As a result, he was dubbed “the greatest rookie of all time” by numerous publications. He made the All-Star team again the following year and did so for many years after that.

The Clippers hired Doc Rivers as head coach prior to the 2013-14 season. Following his lifetime ban from the NBA, Donald Sterling was forced to sell the team to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for $2 billion. Griffin was plagued by injuries from 2015 to 2018. He was also involved in a controversy after angrily striking a member of the Clippers’ equipment staff.

Griffin was traded to the Detroit Pistons in 2018. Despite a strong start, Blake was sidelined for the final eight games of the season due to injury. Later that year, he set a career-high with 50 points in a game against the 76ers. However, injuries continued to plague him, and it was announced in January 2020 that Blake Griffin would miss the rest of the season.

Blake Griffin’s Personal Life

Blake Griffin was previously engaged to Brynn Cameron, but the couple called off their wedding and divorced. They had two children together during their relationship.

Following their divorce, rumors began to circulate about how much child support Cameron was receiving each month, with some estimates reaching as high as $250,000.

Cars And Houses: Blake Griffin

Blake Griffin’s portfolio of houses and mansions is constantly changing. At the same time, the majority of his real estate is in Los Angeles.

Griffin purchased a $9 million mansion in Pacific Palisades in 2014, which spans three acres and includes a gourmet kitchen. It also has a stadium-style home theater, a gym, and three fireplaces. As a result, the mansion is extremely luxurious.

Griffin, however, sold it for $11 million in 2019, a year after being traded to the Detroit Pistons by the Clippers. Griffin’s three-year contract with the Pistons was worth more than $100 million, according to sources. Griffin, on the other hand, attempted to maintain a strong real estate presence in Southern California.

Griffin is the proud owner of several world-class automobiles, including Tesla, Aston Martin, GMC, Ford, and Ferrari. Blake Griffin was spotted riding in a Rolls Royce at the Montage Hotel in 2019. Griffin was also spotted riding a Tesla Model S at a gas station in Los Angeles.

Similarly, Yukon is one of Blake’s most amazing vehicles, with everything blacked out, from the paint to the window tint to the rims. Griffin, on the other hand, enjoys traveling in his GMC Denali.

Endorsements For Brands

Blake Griffin signed a deal with Panini America in 2011 that allowed the company to sell autographed memorabilia. The cover of the video game “NBA 2K13” also featured Blake Griffin. He has also appeared in commercials for companies such as Kia, Subway, Vizio, and GameFly.
