President Trump Looks Up To Stimulus Check
Republicans referred a second Covid-19 stimulus package which will be arriving this week. It is going to be on the US Senate for a vote. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that the second stimulus check had been initiated after President Trump called on Congress to divert unused $300 billion.
McConnell said that though the Democrats and Republicans have several differences among themselves. But during the crisis of this pandemic situation, the two are ready to help the Americans jointly. They don’t want the working families to suffer anymore amid this situation.
McConnell said, “Republicans and Democrats have big differences, but they should not stop us from agreeing where we can and making the law to help Americans through this crisis. Working families cannot suffer more because Democrats think their pain helps them politically. The Senate is going to vote.”
The Democrats and Republicans decided to issue cash payments of about $1,200 for the adults and $500 for the dependents. After several negotiations, both the parties agreed at a package of about $1 trillion.
McConnell’s proposal doesn’t suggest any direct cash payments to needy Americans. The Lawmakers is trying to boost up the small businesses, and they are also trying to arrange funds to aid the school after reopening in this pandemic situation. They even planned to increase the number of employments every week. The President also called for a cut off in the payroll tax and student’s loan.
Trump pressed the Congress to divert the unused funds of about $300 from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act for the Americans.
“We have $300 billion in an account that we didn’t use. I would be willing to release it, subject to Congress, and use that as stimulus money and it would go right to the American people,” Trump said.
