What Is Build?
Microsoft is taking a lot of steps to encourage software engineers and web developers. Given that Microsoft’s primary business operations are closely related to software engineers and web developers, they are doing their best to enable them. Microsft has been organizing “Build” since 2011.
The Build is Microsoft’s annual developer conference. The conference is a successor to previous Microsoft events such as the Professional Developers Conference and MIX. But both of those events did not have the scale of “Build”. The conference is so successful that when they first opened a registration site in 2016, tickets sold out within minutes.
Build 2020
Microsoft had been planning the 2020 Build Conference for months. But then the Coronavirus pandemic forced them to put a stop to all the planning. Governments imposed lockdown in many parts of the world, and social distancing norms are being set in place. Thus, it became impossible for Microsoft to call developers and engineers for a conference.
But Microsoft has found a solution. People were thinking that they would cancel it. Microsoft is now going to hold the conference online. This way, the conference will be able to continue. They have done this for the safety of people. For some, this is not a surprise. They were just waiting for Microsoft to make it official.

Build 2020 Tickets Are Free!
In the past, Build tickets have slightly expensive. The ticket price in 2019 was $2395. But there is good news for people. This time, Microsoft is keeping the event free for everyone. There might be limited tickets, but it will be free for people to get the tickets. This is because Microsoft has fewer expenses. They do not have to pay for a space to host the event. Other logistical costs are also removed.
This is a great opportunity for developer and engineers across the world. The conference hosts enlightening workshops and great talks and demos from Microsoft engineers. This is an opportunity that people should not miss out on. The event will last for a total of 48 hours. It will start on 19 May 2020 and go on till 21 May 2020.
