It seems that sneakerheads who have been dying to get their hands on player-only Air Jordans designed for athletes at colleges sponsored by Jordan Brand might soon be able to.
Retailers should anticipate carrying an Air Jordan 1 Low “Howard” PE this holiday season, according to leakers Sneaker Files and @zSneakerheadz on Instagram. Although the presented mock-up indicates that many elements will remain the same, it is still unclear if the pair will match the exclusives granted to the team in 2023.
According to the drawing, the “Howard” Air Jordan 1 Low will use high-quality materials on the upper, particularly for the overlay panels and the Swoosh logo. The anticipated sneaker design incorporates red and navy accents with a sail-inspired color scheme corresponding to the school’s official colors.
In August 2022, Jordan Brand officially announced its collaboration with Howard University. The company said in the statement that it intended to improve Howard’s athletic department by expanding its academic recruitment options.
Jordan Brand has not yet announced when the “Howard” Air Jordan 1 Low PE will be available. Stay tuned for more updates, which will include a preview of the retail edition in the upcoming months.
