Storm Reid Film Career

Reid made her big-screen debut in 2013, playing Emily in Steve McQueen’s Best Picture Oscar-winning film “12 Years a Slave.” Three years later, she played the younger sister of Jacob Latimore’s protagonist in the superhero drama “Sleight.” Reid had an additional appearance in the “American Girl” movie “Lea to the Rescue.” She starred in Judy Greer’s feature film debut, “A Happening of Monumental Proportions,” in 2017. Reid portrayed the character of Common’s daughter in the movie.

The following year, she received her big break in Ava DuVernay’s “A Wrinkle in Time,” which was inspired by Madeleine L’Engle’s science-fantasy adventure book. Reid played Meg Murry in the film, a talented but mistreated and melancholy young woman who travels through time and space with her brother and friend.
