Nicholas Godejohn is well known for his role in the death of Dee Dee Blanchard, the mother of Gipsy Rose Blanchard, his lover. Gipsy was given inadequate medical care and was made to use a wheelchair because Dee Dee had persuaded Gipsy and others that she had several major ailments.
In June 2015, Gipsy and Godejohn hatched a plan to kill Dee Dee, and Godejohn killed Dee Dee while Gipsy was inside the house. 2018 saw the arrest and charging of Godejohn for first-degree murder. Godejohn was found guilty and given a life sentence without the possibility of release.
