How Was Ending 15 Years With Your Ex-Husband?
It was arduous. The cracks had begun to show in me. No matter the reasons, the loss of someone you’ve spent the past 15 years with is bound to cause profound emotional distress.
I owe an outstanding debt of gratitude to my parents, who relocated from San Francisco to Los Angeles to nurse me back to health and support me as I adjusted to my new home. Without the love and encouragement of my loved ones, I doubt I would have had the guts to make this choice.
Numerous factors and feelings, including relief, doubt, regret, excitement, and so on, go into this decision. The time it takes to recover physically and emotionally from a traumatic experience varies significantly from person to person. It is a never-ending cycle in which you are dismantled and rebuilt until you are complete once more.
Unexpected Chriselle Lim Divorce
It’s corny, but I really do feel that I’ve been given a second start at life and that every day brings new wonders and discoveries. Marriage and divorce are topics on which people of different cultures and households have vastly diverse perspectives. My parents are what I would call “traditional Korean parents” in many respects, but they were raised in the United States, so their views on some issues are more liberal than mine.
However, when I filled them in on the situation, nobody seemed to be really concerned. They moved in with me the same night they traveled down from San Francisco and have been a rock for me and my daughters through this whole process.
How Has Your Relationship With Your Kids Altered In A Year?
I can say without a doubt that co-parenting has improved my relationship with my kids. There was an adjustment phase, to be sure, but I eventually learned that what matters most in co-parenting is quality time spent with your child, not quantity.
Having my girls only half of the time has motivated me to make the most of the time I spend with them and give them my undivided attention and best effort.
The weeks when I don’t have the children allow me to concentrate on myself and my work without interruption, which means that when I do have them again, I can devote more of my attention to them.

Legal Issues
On July 26, 2021 (Stipulation & Order Regarding Pendente Lite Custody), the court issued a temporary custody order. In addition, charges for child support, spousal support, and legal fees were entered on August 13. On October 26, a court commissioner was chosen.
The size of the marital estate and the proposed division of assets and debts are unknown at this time, despite the fact that the parties have exchanged financial information with a declaration of income and expenses.
Was there a legal prenuptial agreement between the couple? If they didn’t, then significant marital assets will likely be up for grabs during property settlement negotiations. Lim’s website went live in 2011, and we know she tied the knot the following year.
Chen may have community property rights to Lim’s commercial triumphs, given he was by her side when she first started. Whoever asked for alimony has yet to come forward. Perhaps both of them did.
