Shogun Fx Plot
The series tells the story of John Blackthorne, a British sailor who ends up in Japan in 1600 after surviving a shipwreck. Yoshii Toranaga, a strong feudal lord who wants to be the Shogun, Japan’s top military leader, captures him. Blackthorne learns to fit in with Japanese society and becomes Toranaga’s trusted friend and advisor.
He also falls in love with Lady Mariko, who is married to another warrior but is beautiful and smart. Blackthorne has to deal with his own enemies from Europe as well as the complicated and dangerous political games going on in Japan.
Shogun FX Expected Cast
Hiroyuki Sanada will play Toranaga, Cosmo Jarvis will play Blackthorne, and Anna Sawai will play Lady Mariko, who is the daughter of a spy and joins Blackthorne on his quest. The fact that the group is mostly Japanese shows that the producers are serious about staying true to the book.
