Grace Van Dien at the premiere of Stranger Things last year
Grace Van Dien, who played Eleven in Stranger Things, has said that she’s taking a break from acting after some uncomfortable situations on set.
The 26-year-old actor played cheerleader Chrissy Cunningham in the fourth season of the Netflix sci-fi drama, but she said during a Twitch live stream earlier this week that she had started turning down projects because she was disappointed with the acting business.
She told her viewers, “I’ve seen that some people are upset with me because I turned down acting jobs and chose to stream more.”
“But the truth is that I didn’t have the best experiences with some of the people I had to work for on my last few projects.”
Grace went on: “In one of the last movies I worked on, one of the producers asked me to… So, for example, he hired a girl he was sleeping with, and then he had her ask me to join them in a threesome.
“so… There’s My Boss Then I didn’t, and I was so sad that I cried.

Grace said, “When people ask, “How is streaming better for your mental health?”—That’s how.” (Per Variety). “I get to stay home and play video games, and my boss doesn’t ask me to sleep with him or her.”
She also said that doing her live streams on the video game platform made her feel more “happy,” and she had also started working on her own projects.
She said, “I’m hoping that someone will decide to fund them so I can run my own set and not ask my actors to sleep with me.”
You may have seen Grace in the Netflix show Greenhouse Academy or the movies V for Vengeance and Roost, as well as the most recent season of Stranger Things.
