This is the final look at The Super Mario Bros. Movie before it comes out in theatres. Nintendo and Illumination put out what they say is the last trailer for the movie today. Chris Pratt plays the famous plumber in the movie. It’s more of a preview of what to expect, but there’s a very dark start and some action on the side. There’s also a good chance of a fight on Rainbow Road, like in Mad Max. The next Mario Kart should use this idea.
We got our first real look at the movie and heard Chris Pratt’s take on Mario last October. Since then, a few trailers have focused on characters like Anya Taylor-Princess Joy’s Peach, Keegan-Michael Key’s Toad, and Donkey Kong (Seth Rogen). Jack Black plays Bowser, and Charlie Day plays Luigi.
The movie’s release date was just moved up and it will now come out on April 5. (instead of the 7th). The Super Mario Bros. Movie is part of Nintendo’s big push into the entertainment world, including several theme parks.
