Damien Leone gave Art the Clown life for the first time in 2008’s The 9th Circle. In 2011, he was the main character in Terrifier, a short film about a young woman who sees one of Art the Clown’s murders.
After appearing in All Hallows’ Eve, Leone turned Terrifier into a full-length movie in 2016. In the movie, a clown follows three young women on Halloween. It’s trashy in the best ways, has a kill that will blow your mind, and makes people want more.

Terrifier 3: Release Date Details
Terrifier 2 showed how popular the franchise was, so Terrifier 3 could be given the go-ahead and start making progress pretty quickly. Terrifier 3 could be in theatres in October 2023, like Saw and Paranormal Activity, or it could come out in October 2024, depending on how much its budget and scale grow.
Leone told Slash Film at the premiere of Terrifier 2: “Right now, I just want to tell a good story where both the heroes and the bad guys have a nice arc and the story is finished.”
“So a three is almost certainly the third part. What’s next? We’ll see if there’s anything left to do and if fans still like this character and this series.”
Looking ahead, it seems likely that Terrifier 3 will come out in 2024.
Terrifier 3: Cast Details
Art the Clown will come back to fight Pennywise in Terrifier 3, and it looks like Victoria will do the same. This means that both David Howard Thornton and Samantha Scaffidi will be back. Amelie McLain will probably be back as The Little Pale Girl, and Sienna and Jonathan, played by Lauren LaVera and Elliot Fullam, might also be back.
On the other hand, Terrifier 2 put them through some very traumatic events, so Terrifier 3 might give them a break and introduce some new main characters. In any case, Art the Clown’s ability to scare will make sure that Terrifier 3 has even more scary moments.
Plot Details Of Terrifier 3
As of this writing, there are no official plot details for Terrifier 3, but Leone has said that Art and Sienna will have “a lot more to say” in the third movie.
In the Nightmare on Film Street podcast, he talked about Terrifier 2’s “twisted ending” and how he doesn’t want to “disservice” Art. “My biggest fear is doing a disservice to the protagonist that you build up, which happens a lot in these franchises,” he said.
“Eventually, the bad guy wins, and all the heroes you’ve been following for six, seven, or eight movies end up dying off, or the actor dies, or the character dies, and you’re left wondering, What was the point of all that? You can’t really watch it as a whole series with a satisfying arc or journey.
“I’m not going to promise that I won’t get caught in that trap. I hope I don’t, but right now, all I want to do is tell a good story in my head. Way more talented filmmakers—filmmakers with great artistic integrity—fall into these traps, so I’m not going to say I won’t, but I’m going to try not to.
