Netflix Original “Young Royals” combines the royal intrigue of “The Crown” with classic teen melodrama, and the result has gotten considerable buzz since it was released on July 1.

The six-episode first season certainly set things up for a continuation of the story, but is Netflix interested in a sophomore season of “Young Royals?” So far, the show hasn’t been renewed, but there’s been enough interest that the service seems likely to bring it back. Young Royal Season 2 Release Date: When Will season 2 Air?
Netflix has confirmed that Young Royals will return for a second season. Netflix has remained mum on the release date as of publication, but it will be in 2022.
Given that the first season premiered on July 1, 2021, we anticipate fans will have to wait until July 2022 for the second season. In a sweet Instagram video, the cast of the hit show revealed the show will return for a second season.
Netflix Nordics posted a video in February with stars Edvin Ryding and Omar Rudberg announcing the start of season 2 filming and expressing their excitement to resume work on the hit show.
Fans with keen eyes can also catch a glimpse of behind-the-scenes action on Rudberg’s Instagram, where he recently shared two photos of himself and Malte Grdinger (who plays August) on set. The pair are not on good terms on the show, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Young Royal Season 2 Plot: What can we expect from Young Royals season 2?
Wilhelm and Simon’s relationship came to an end as a result of August revealing their sex tape. Wilhelm denied being in the film after his family pleaded with him to do so in order to protect the king.
He then asked Simon if they could remain together in secret, but Simon refused, stating that he is not interested in being anyone’s secret. The first season concludes with Wilhelm confessing his love for Simon but being reluctant to display it openly, and their relationship appears to be over.
