Talan Renner, a 17-year-old from Gilbert, was one of four people accused of killing Preston Lord, a 16-year-old who was fatally beaten at a Halloween party in Queen Creek on October 28 last year. Lord passed away two days later at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Last Wednesday, March 6, 2024, the Queen Creek Police Department said in a media meeting that they charged four individuals for crimes such as murder and kidnapping linked to the fatal assault on Preston Lord.
The police found out that Talan Renner, who is 17 years old, William “Owen” Hines, 18 years old, Talyn Vigil, 17 years old, and Dominic Turner, 20 years old, are the people they suspect in a serious crime. They have accused them of felony murder and kidnapping. Also, Dominic Turner is facing an additional charge of aggravated robbery.
Talan Renner and Talyn Vigil, who are both 17 years old, are said to be facing charges as adults.
